Following the Prime Minister's announcement on the 4th Jan, we are now in a national lockdown and must ensure we follow the government's guidance to stay at home.
There are only a limited number of reasons you should be leaving your homes, including:
• shop for necessities, for you or a vulnerable person.
• go to work, or provide voluntary services, if you cannot reasonably do so from home.
• exercise locally, limited to once per day
• meet your support bubble or childcare bubble where necessary
• seek medical assistance or avoid injury, illness, or risk of harm
• attend education or childcare - for those eligible.

Guidance on shielding
If you are clinically vulnerable, you could be at higher risk of severe illness from COVID-19. The government is advising the clinically extremely vulnerable to begin shielding again, and letters will be sent out to individuals with advice on what this means for them.

Covid-19 vaccination programme
The health and care system in Dorset has been working extremely hard to deliver the COVID-19 vaccination programme to local people. They are delivering the vaccine in line with national guidance which means those people who are most at risk will be invited first.

Please do not contact your practice or hospital to ask about an appointment - the NHS will get in touch with you when it is your turn to be vaccinated.
Community Safety during Covid-19
We all have a responsibility to follow the COVID-19 rules. If you have concerns about others who may not be complying with the current restrictions, you can report them in different ways.
